Our Program

A student-centered approach that focuses on educating the whole child, a curriculum that takes advantage of our natural surroundings, a program that is full of art, dance, music, world language, athletics and project-based learning may seem like modern concepts to some. Pine Point School has been educating children in this progressive model for almost 75 years – and we’re still leading the way.

Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 1

Early Childhood

The earliest years set the foundation for all the success that students realize throughout Lower School. Preschool, Kindergarten, and first grade students playfully explore their classrooms and our campus as they’re introduced to our rich program and collaborative learning approach, including science, dance, Spanish, and more. They learn to love school and to love learning!

Grades 2 - 5

Lower School

As students move through the Lower School, they delve into increasingly more complex projects that involve a variety of faculty and subject areas in science, visual and performing arts, technology and makers’ space. With a strong emphasis on social and emotional learning, students learn to build their individual skills while managing the dynamics of working together in small groups.

Grades 6 - 9

Middle School

The Middle School provides a caring community where students are known for who they are, where it’s safe to take risks, and where every student is challenged but not overwhelmed. They are provided opportunities to delve into more independent projects integrating history, math, science, Spanish, and writing. Advisors guide their students to take ownership of their school experience by helping them organize and manage their lives as learners, setting the essential foundation for secondary school and beyond.
